Each week, The Wall will reset. In the Barracks, you can retire your units by tapping on a particular unit and then going to their information screen. Retiring a unit will send them to The Wall, where they will lend their hand and increase your Wall defences. When a unit that you've already obtained is acquired, the unit will automatically be retired to The Wall. When the total of retired units reaches a specific number, the Night's Watch participating in The Wall defence can gain an extra attribute bonus in battle.

Scrolls of different qualities are used to create skills with different star ratings. Duplicate units drawn during the Night Watch's Oath can also be converted into Skill Scrolls.

Food is the main energy source for your Night's Watch legion. Food is consumed when conducting operations outside of the Castle Wall. You use food when sending Units/Heroes on missions, and on patrols in Story mode, expedition, Flash Events, and more. You regain Food at a rate of 10 Food per hour and can purchase it a maximum of 5 times daily with Silver Stags. Each time you purchase food, you receive 100 Food.

You can increase your Hero's effectiveness in combat by promoting them, unlocking their hero traits and upgrading them. Combining different tactic cards can also help to greatly enhance your heroes.

Heroes that are not present in the show can be obtained after you unlock their corresponding Story. Similarly, Heroes that are present in the show can also be obtained after you complete their corresponding Legendary Event.
